Roger Straub is a multi-talented cartoonist and accomplished writer that has put smiles on people’s faces for more than 25 years, most notably through his world-famous Mac O’Moodus comic series.

Roger Straub – A Colorful Cartoonist with a Comedic Flair
Roger first created the Mac O’Moodus character in 1976 as part of a college assignment. He derived the name from the Native American tribe called “Machimoodus”, that inhabited Connecticut. For years, it lay dormant until in 1999, Roger was asked to create a comic for a local Connecticut newspaper. Remembering his old college project, Roger knew that Mac O’Moodus was finally ready to meet the world!
Once released, Roger’s fan base grew fast and furiously when the Mac O’Moodus comic was published in countless newspapers and magazines throughout New England, including INK Magazine and Connecticut Magazine.
Since then, Mac O’ Moodus has been inducted into MOCCAI (The Museum Of Celebrated Cartoonists and Illustrators) and is featured at The Barker Animation Gallery located at Foxwoods Casino in Connecticut.
Roger’s book featuring Mac O’Moodus, “What Should We Be, Mr. Mac”, was released in the Fall of 2024 by Olympia Publishers.
Each colorful image is matched with laugh-out-loud prose and brings Roger’s whimsical humor and joy to people around the world.
