Ken Bishop- Creator of Cute and Colorful Patterns and Illustrations

Versatile pattern, textile and surface artist Ken Bishop boasts decades of expertise in designing vivid and vivacious images for a variety of babies’ products, children’s clothing, greeting cards, signs and more.

Born to design, Ken began drawing at the age of 8, creating works of art and discovering his love for color.  Through his primary school years, he continued to develop his skills and his desire to pursue a career in art.  Upon graduating high school, he was accepted into the prestigious Parson School of Design.

Ken’s professional artistic career began as a senior graphic artist and designer for a variety of product companies in which he gained experience in all phases of product development – from inception to execution of both original art and licensed properties.  His responsibilities included researching trends, developing product lines, and package design.

Taking his extensive experience to the next level, Ken started his own company where he created a variety of design applications, including greeting cards, signs, clothing patterns, textile prints, luggage tags, IPhone skins, jewelry tags and license plates for such distinguished clients as the Smithsonian, Bronx Zoo and Boy Scouts of America.

Realizing his particular skill in pattern and textile design, Ken began specializing in newborn, infant and toddler apparel covering all themes and subject matter from butterflies to baseball.

Besides creating original children’s pattern design and illustrations, Ken has developed brands for Newborn Apparel, Disney, Nickelodeon, Ed Hardy, DC, Roxy, Quicksilver, Care Bears, Charms, Mickey, Minnie, Princess, Eric Carle, Fila, Head, My Little Pony, Dora, Sponge Bob, TMNT, Roxy, Sesame Street and South Pole, among others.

This two-time international design winner has always wanted to meet the popular and prominent pop-artist Andy Warhol.

Ken’s craving for creativity extends beyond the surface as he enjoys making intricate stained glass and jewelry art pieces.

A passion for puppies, Ken loves to play with his dogs and volunteers his graphic design expertise for countless animal rescue and training organizations.
