Kate Maddocks is a nature artist who has a keen eye for detail when working with dried plants and flowers. 

She loves to create whimsical scenes that celebrate love, joy, friendship and enchantment, all sprinkled with a little magic. Many of her pieces feature dragonflies, mushrooms, fairies and hares, which are included in her long list of ‘favorite things’. 

Kate has worked in a myriad of mediums throughout her career, but nothing brings her as much joy as using flowers to create art. She views plants very differently now, always considering the potential body part or background that she can create with these elements.

In fact, Kate grows many of her own flowers and presses them before turning them into petal portraits, animals, birds, wedding scenes, floral lettering, colorful collages and lots more. 

Kate resides in the city but loves to escape into outdoor nature whenever she can. She enjoys wild camping in remote spots, swimming in rivers and oceans, climbing hills and discovering forests. She also loves spending time with friends and family and attending to her ever-growing garden whilst listening to podcasts on British folklore. 

Kate’s favorite artist is Brian Froud. He has been a huge inspiration in her love of magical creatures.
