Catherine Elliott…a contemporary, classy and consummate artistic professional

Contemporary impressionist painter Catherine M. Elliott captures the radiant magic of each moment through her lifelong love of art and nature, which brings a sense of serenity to any setting or subject.

Her award-winning masterpieces of humanity, animals, florals and nature have been commissioned and recognized by Meryl Streep, Sir Richard Branson, Willy Nelson and other prominent art collectors.

Catherine started developing an artistic interest in high school. After getting married at age 22 and raising three children, she resumed her passion for painting and began selling her work in prominent art galleries – both in the United States and abroad.

Her primary artistic goal has always been to communicate joy, peacefulness and beauty from the paintbrush to canvas. She is very much a part of the external natural world and spends a lot of time immersing herself within the beauty of the environment.  As such, she conducts Plein Air workshops around the world in which she teaches students of all abilities to create soothing scenic landscapes.

Catherine is committed to ongoing growth within her craft.  Putting artwork into the hands of the private and public sector continues to be her mission – and is achieved through art licensing representation of her images.

Catherine continually resides within the right-brain side of her mind, always operating and expanding her imagination in various forms and modalities.  When not producing her own artwork, she enjoys brainstorming marketing ideas for her daughter’s business – Purusha People, a plant-based, yoga clothing line.  Catherine’s creativity also extends to the kitchen as she enjoys cooking a variety of cuisines for her family and spreading smiles to her numerous grandchildren.  An avid outdoor enthusiast, she has conquered a variety of hiking terrains with her dog, which is often the subject of many popular, animal-based art prints.

Catherine’s ideal dream would be to meet one of the deceased artists from the turn of the century when American impressionism was an ongoing practice from the California to the Connecticut coastlines.  Inspired by famous artists Monet, van Gogh and Willard Metcalf, Catherine would have a field day- just like the field of flowers that adorn hand-painted art prints.

Catherine’s artwork is featured on products made by Manual Woodworkers and Weavers, Ravensburger Puzzles, TCG Toys, Willowcreek Press, iCanvas Wall Art, among many others.
